OnePlus 11R to Launch with Alert Slider and IR Blaster

OnePlus to launch the major OnePlus 11 series in the first half of 2023. Meanwhile, reports surfaced online suggest that it will be equipped with an Alert slider. Previous models, the OnePlus 10R and OnePlus 10T did not come with the iconic Alert Slider. It also could be the first time that the OnePlus 11R is the first phone from the brand to be equipped with an infrared (IR) Blaster.

The OnePlus 11R with Alert Slider and IR Blaster got a leaked live image shared by MySmartPrice. The image further suggests some other specifications and features of the device but is not the final product we can jump into.

Display

With the debut of the IR blaster and the return of the Alert Slider on the OnePlus 11R, the upcoming phone is expected to feature an FHD+ AMOLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate. As per the report, the display will also come with HDR10+ support.

Moreover, the smartphone’s screen could be curved and have a hole in the middle for the selfie camera, and it is very likely that it will have an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Camera

The leaked live image of the OnePlus 11R shows that it will have a triple camera and an LED flash on the back. It also shows that the OnePlus 11R will have a similar camera module as the OnePlus 10 Pro and OnePlus 10T. The triple rear camera setup will likely consist of a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP shooter, as per reports.

Furthermore, the upcoming OnePlus 11R is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC based on TSMC’s 4nm process and the smartphone will likely house a 5,000mAh battery.
