The OnePlus 12 will be released in China on 5 December as the successor to the OnePlus 11 5G. The latter was unveiled in February of this year. OnePlus has previously disclosed several crucial characteristics for the next flagship model, including the chipset, camera, and colour options. The business has now verified further data about the phone, including the battery, charging, and networking choices. A senior OnePlus executive tweeted live shot of the phone. More live photos of the impending OnePlus 12 have also surfaced online, highlighting essential characteristics.
OnePlus 12: Colour and Specifications
OnePlus China President Li Jie Louis has posted live photos of the OnePlus 12 in Pale Green and White. The rear panel of the green variation has a marble-like surface. The OnePlus 12 phone will also be available in a third Rock Black colour option.
In a Weibo post, the company also announced that the OnePlus 12 would be powered by a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired SuperVOOC charging and 50W wireless charging capabilities. OnePlus 12 will also be capable of wireless reverse charging. The wired and wireless charging solutions are touted to charge the phone from 0% to 100% in 26 and 55 minutes, respectively. OnePlus says that the OnePlus 12's battery life outperforms all competitor flagship Pro models, with a DOU (days of usage) of 1.79 days.
According to OnePlus, the OnePlus 12 will include a "multi-functional infrared remote control function" (translated from Chinese), allowing customers to manage home appliances from their handsets. The OnePlus 12 phone will also have "all-region multi-functional NFC" and compatibility with Bluetooth 5.4.
OnePlus 12 will include a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 connection
In another article, the company revealed that the OnePlus 12 will include a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 connection. The flagship device will also be dust- and splash-resistant and have an IP65 classification.
Meanwhile, leaked live photos uploaded on Weibo have revealed important OnePlus 12 features. The OnePlus 12 phone, PDJ110, is expected to be released in three RAM + storage configurations: 16GB + 512GB, 16GB + 1TB, and 24GB + 1TB. According to the leaked photos, the OnePlus 12 phone would have a 6.82-inch display and a 32-megapixel front camera.
The OnePlus 12 will include:
- A 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 main sensor.
- A 48-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens.
- A 64-megapixel telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom.
A Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC will power it and run ColorOS 14, which is based on Android 14. The OnePlus 12 phone will also include a ProXDR display with a peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits, 2K resolution, and DisplayMate's A+ certification.
