OnePlus Ace 3 Reported to Launch with Thinner Bezels; Also, to Include 3 Years of Android Updates

Three years of Android upgrades and four years of security patches are assured for the OnePlus Ace 3.

The worldwide and Indian markets for the OnePlus Ace 3 will now be known as OnePlus 12R.

The OnePlus Ace 3, which will replace the OnePlus Ace 2, is expected to make its debut in China on January 4. Newer information about the phone, including as its display specifications, OS upgrades, connection, and color possibilities, has begun to surface from the most recent teaser photographs.

The most recent promotional picture for the OnePlus Ace 3 indicates that it will have extremely small bezels surrounding the screen, only days before it is announced. The phone will receive four years of security upgrades and three years of Android updates, the company has stated.

OnePlus Ace 3 bezels 

According to the teaser image, the OnePlus Ace 3 has very thin bezels. The side bezels are 1.36mm and the relatively thicker chin is 1.94mm.  The OnePlus Ace 3 appears to have smooth edges and ultra-narrow bezels, which means the phone should offer an immersive  viewing experience.  The OnePlus Ace 3 offers a refresh rate of up to 120Hz  and has Dolby Vision support. 

The phone is already certified for three years of Android updates and four years of security updates.  The flagship would have Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, Wi-Fi 7, IR Blaster and NFC connectivity. 

OnePlus Ace 3 Specifications (Expected) 

Screen: The OnePlus Ace 3 has a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED screen with a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits, 8T LTPO, an internal Display P1 chip, a hole for the selfie snapper, and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

Chipset: The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and Adreno GPU for graphics. 

RAM and Storage: Up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of storage are paired with the chipset.

Rear cameras: The phone is rumored to have a 50-megapixel OIS primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro module. 

Front Camera: The front might have a 16-megapixel shooter  for selfies.

Operating system: ColorOS based on Android 14 with custom skin.

Battery: It may have a 5500mAh battery with 100W cable fast charging support. 

Connectivity: 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and  USB Type-C port for charging.

Colors: black, blue and gold colors. The phone has a metal central frame and a frosted glass panel.
