OnePlus Nord Buds 2R Launched in India: With 12.4mm Dynamic Drivers and an IP55 Rating

On 5 July, Business unveiled the Nord Buds 2R truly wireless stereo (TWS) earphones in India. The OnePlus Nord Buds 2R is advertised to provide up to 8 hours of music playback and an additional 30 hours with the charging case. They are equipped with 12.4mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers. According to the manufacturer, each earbud has two microphones that provide AI-enhanced noise cancellation during calls. The IP55 rating for sweat and water resistance is a feature of the OnePlus Nord Buds 2R.

Features and characteristics of the OnePlus Nord Buds 2R

The recently released OnePlus Nord Buds 2R have 12.4mm dynamic drivers contained in a plastic earbud housing that, according to OnePlus, was tested on various people to enhance comfort and compatibility. The earbuds have Dolby Atmos compatibility, compatible with select smartphones starting with the OnePlus 7 and later generations. On other OnePlus smartphones, it features a Dirac Audio Tuner functionality that functions.

According to OnePlus, the new Nord Buds 2R earbuds come with two microphones that work with the company's AI Clear Call algorithm to reduce background noise during voice calls by filtering out outside noise and recognising human voices. When making a phone call, it is also asserted to lessen noise from windy or noisy situations.

The charging case includes a 480mAh cell that is believed to offer an additional 38 hours of battery life, while each earbud has a 36mAh battery with a stated eight-hour battery life. The OnePlus Nord Buds 2R earbuds provide Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and the case contains a USB Type-C socket for charging. You can pair the OnePlus 6 and subsequent smartphones using OnePlus' Fast Pair feature.

Although the business claims the earbuds aren't supported on the iOS version of the app, users without OnePlus handsets can pair the earbuds with the HeyMelody app on Android. The OnePlus Nord Buds 2R earphones are water- and sweat-resistant and have an IP55 rating. According to the manufacturer, the charging case weighs 38.1g, while each earbud weighs about 4.3g.

OnePlus Nord Buds 2R cost and availability in India

The cost of the OnePlus Nord Buds 2R in India is Rs. 2,199, and both the company's website and Amazon will sell the TWS earbuds. Deep Grey and Triple Blue are the available colour options for purchase.

These TWS earbuds are less priced at Rs. 2,199 than the Rs. 2,999 OnePlus Nord Buds 2 introduced in April. The Nord Buds 2R's inability to offer active noise cancellation (ANC) is the primary distinction between these two models.
