Meanwhile, X (previously Twitter) tipster Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) stated that the OnePlus Open will be released on 19 October. Previously, it was claimed that OnePlus would debut the foldable phone in August. Still, that date has been pushed back due to the company's last-minute decision to abandon the BOE display in favour of Samsung panels.

The OnePlus Open will likely have an outward folding design, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Pixel Fold, and Vivo X Fold 2. It is expected to debut as a variant of the Oppo Find N2. It might debut in China first, followed by a global rollout in India and the United States.

OnePlus has announced that it has been developing a foldable smartphone for quite some time. It is expected to cost less than Rs. 1,20,000.
