A data science leader and AI influencer, Steve Nouri, announced the news on his social media accounts. OpenAI recently introduced the GPT-4 version of the AI bot, which is claimed to be more sophisticated and improved than its predecessor.

In a social media post, he writes, "It can now access the web, interpret code, and get data from custom knowledge bases."

Plugin alpha access is being made available to end users gradually. The accessibility will increment over the long haul, he adds.

What does this imply?

A code interpreter, an open-source retrieval plugin for custom knowledge bases, and a web browser are the initial plugins.

Nouri explains in the post how ChatGPT's capabilities will be enhanced by the plugin support. In his social media post, he included a video explaining how plugins operate. For instance, you will first need to install the appropriate plugin in order to place an online grocery order or receive restaurant recommendations from ChatGPT. For that, you can go to the plugin store.

After that, he tells ChatGPT to make suggestions based on preferences like availability and location, a Sunday recipe, and total calories, and to order the ingredients through Instacart, an online grocery store.

The video shows how ChatGPT gives café proposals utilizing OpenTable. It then suggests a recipe, uses Wolfram Alpha to figure out how many calories are in it, and gives him a link to order the ingredients.

In a recent tweet, a founder and investor demonstrated how, with the help of ChatGPT, one could write what SpaceX founder Elon Musk might think. On March 21, Sam opened the ChatGPT and asked the AI to write a tweet with a statistically higher probability of receiving a like or comment from Elon Musk.
