These two mid-range smartphones Oppo Reno 8 5G and Redmi K50i 5G recently launched in India. Both these brands are quite popular amongst customers and are likely to face competition in their market segment.

Oppo Reno 8 5G was introduced with the launch of the Oppo Reno 8 series in the market at a price of Rs 26,999 whereas Redmi K50i is priced at Rs 25,999. The two smartphones have almost similar specifications, with Redmi having a slightly higher edge over Reno.

The Redmi K50i comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD FFS display panel with a 144Hz 7-stage adaptive refresh rate. It supports Dolby Vision and has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.  will be great for battery life as well. Powered with MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset, it is available in either 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone sports a triple camera setup on the back comprising a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. There is also a 16MP front camera.

The phone also comes with a 5,080mAh battery and 67W fast charging support with a charger in the box.

The smartphone comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display panel with Full HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits peak brightness. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection on top. The Oppo Reno 8 5G packs an Octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor and comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

The Reno 8 5G is installed with the triple camera setup at the rear, consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. It has a 32-megapixel shooter at the front.
