Following the release of the OPPO Find N2 and OPPO Find N2 Flip, the Chinese smartphone brand is apparently now working on a significant project.
The corporation has begun preparing a new rollable phone, according to a report by 91mobiles Hindi quoting the patent database CNIPA.
Rollable technology is intriguing since it allows for a quick change in form factor. A smart TV and phone from LG were technological innovations a while back, and this year at MWC 2023, Motorola unveiled a revolutionary rollable phone.
Oppo Rollable design
The entire design of OPPO's rollable phone is shown in the patent listing, which suggests that the front camera sensor may be integrated into the display.
The OPPO rollable phone's design is reminiscent of a candy bar. On the back, an LED flash and the module for the rear camera are visible. On the right spine are the power and volume buttons.
The phone has square edges and a flat front. The fact that the front camera sensor is not visible suggests that it may be incorporated into the screen. The Sort C port and speaker grilles can be found at the base.
Now, coming back to the point, the rollable phone will probably expand from the right edge. However, since the screen can be seen coming out in both directions, there is a possibility that the device will roll from both sides and the screen will expand in two directions.
When enabled, a specific task or touchpoint will cause the screen to expand. We don't know if there will be a commercial phone with the same design because the design is still in the patent stage.
The OPPO rollable phone is listed on the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) certification site. The patent was documented back in December 2021, and it was endorsed on April fourteenth of this current year.
