The Panasonic MB 772CX is neatly designed with control buttons at just the
right places. The lid on top of the scan bed has a capacity of 20 sheets.
Immediately below are controls for functions such as scan, copy and fax. An LCD
screen shows you the count of faxes sent and the amount of copies to be done.
Shortcut keys like caller ID, redial/pause, flash make your life a lot easier,
saving you from the pain of navigating through a plethora of menu items. On the
rear of the MFD, you have provision for attaching a USB cable, a fax line and
even an answering machine.
The print was quite crisp and fresh with good clarity.
It took 7 seconds before taking out the first print. While scanning a full
page color document, it registered 55 seconds on the stopwatch. Taking a page of
fax took 1 minute and 30 seconds. The received document was a notch inferior in
quality, though. The device is compatible with all versions of Windows and
additional updates can be downloaded at Panasonic's official website. Its
in-built OCR software lets you convert your scanned pages into editable docs,
and probably you will never run out of pages at a stretch, because the paper
tray can hold up to 250 sheets. You can also adjust the setting for different
paper types like A4, letter and legal.

Bottomline: Overall, a good value for money
device for SMBs or workgroups.
