Patrolling Processes

New Update

Having to check the 'Task Manager' every time you want to see which processes are chewing up your processor's time and slowing down everything can be irritating. Then of course there are those processes that come back even after you've ended them from the 'Task Manager'. This is especially true for some of the spyware and malware programs hounding the Internet these days. The answer to most of them is a tool called Process Patrol. The tool kills such annoying processes and even renames the files so that the processes don't restart. It shows a list of currently running processes and allows you to categorize them in two lists of safe and stop processes. Those in the stop list will not be allowed to run. You can even schedule Process Patrol to run in the background and scan the PC after every 'x' minutes. It also gives some information about each process and a built-in browser lets you do a quick Google search.
