The Pune leg of the PCQ SMB Forum 2012 saw a lot of interaction between the speaker, panelists, and the audience. The event kick started with Binesh Kutty, Senior Assistant Editor, PCQuest making a presentation on ' IT Essentials for Your Business' wherein he shared the insights from a survey done by PCQuest. This was followed by Bhaskar Raman, Enterprise Technologist from DELL holding a Power Talk on ' IT Infrastructure Trends for Mid-sized Enterprises'. The audience were all ears as Raman went easy on technology jargons and made it sound much more unintimidating by citing examples.
For the panel discussion, we were joined by Anant Sardeshmukh, Addl. Director General, Maratha Chamber Of Commerce, Industries & Agriculture; Saurav Mishra, Co-founder & Business Head, Webonise Lab; Sheldon D'Souza, CTO, Tasty Khana, and Bhaskar Raman of DELL. The discussion was moderated by Binesh Kutty of PCQuest. During the course of the discussion, the attendees shared their IT infrastructure challenges, which were answered by the expert panel citing examples of implementations in their own organizations. There was a lot of discussion that revolved around cloud computing as well.
Before the program ended, we had a 'Closing Remarks' note by Anant Sardeshmukh of MCCIA, who shared some really interesting numbers and trends of industries in Pune.
The Delhi leg of the same event had Vinnie Mehta, Executive Director of Automotive Components Manufacturers' Association of India do the keynote, and he kicked off the talk with a clear message that their industry doesn't understand tech jargon, which is one of the hurdles they face while trying to adopt IT. We then had Rajesh Butta, Co-Owner of Takshila Learning and Conetactivity.com talk about the IT roadmap SMEs should follow, with a particular focus toward online.
This was followed by a power talk by Ashish Vohra, System Consultant from Dell who covered IT Infrastructure trends for mid-sized enterprises.
The panel discussion in Delhi focused around devising an effective IT infrastructure strategy.
