New Update

The runner up in this year’s shootout, the PCS Orion was the only PC in its group to be based on the SiS 630 chipset. It had a Celeron 700 MHz processor, 64MB RAM, a 15” monitor, a 52x CD-ROM drive, and a 20 GB hard drive. Sound and display were both onboard. It also came with speakers and a nice set of bundled software, which contained a 3 CD pack with 101 software. The only place where it lost out in features was for an Ethernet port. Overall, this PC came out second in features.

This PC has great features but for the absence of an Ethernet port

  • Pros: 15” monitor
  • Cons: No Ethernet port
  • Performance/Price ratio: 6.76
  • Features: 90.2

It had an average score of 17.5 and came in third position jointly with Vintron. However its higher price tag than the Vintron made it end fourth in the performance to price ratio, with a score of 6.76.

Overall, this was one of the most feature rich PCs in its category. Another thing in favor of this PC is that its very attractive price makes it an attractive choice for any office PC buyer. It comes with a one-year onsite warranty.
