New Update

The interesting thing in MFDs is that there's no change in the members of the Users' Choice Club this year over the previous one. Moreover, HP continues to lead the pack by a wide margin, followed by Canon and Epson.

HP has consolidated its position further if anything, which is exactly what we said last year. What's concerning though is the small decline in the indices of both Canon and Epson over the previous year. Despite all the action in this space, none of the other brands have managed to make the cut. HP has improved its brand loyalty over last year, rising from 79 to 86%. The same situation holds with Canon, as it registered 46% compared to just 29 last year.

Epson needs to worry, as its brand loyalty over the previous year has gone down from 55 to just 27%. Most of the current owners of Epson MFDs want to shift over to HP (46) followed by Canon (21). Canon faces an equal threat from both Epson and HP, as an equal percentage of existing owners want to shift to either brand. Last year, we also had Lexmark as a contender, but its current ownership was too low this year to analyze.

HP received maximum support from up North and the western region. Canon enjoyed equal support from all the four regions, while Epson's support was slightly skewed towards the South.
