Poco confirmed the arrival of the new Poco M6 Pro 5G smartphone in India on Monday (31 July). The Xiaomi sub-brand released a social media teaser revealing details about the future handset's design. The Poco M6 Pro 5G is pictured in cyan with a dual rear camera system. Poco has not specified when the 5G handset will be available. However, considering the release of the teaser, the launch could be imminent. The Poco M6 Pro 5G is believed to be the successor to the Poco M4 Pro 5G, released in the country in February last year.

Himanshu Tandon, Poco India Head, confirmed the launch of the Poco M6 Pro 5G in the nation via Twitter. The post does not mention the smartphone's specific launch date, but it is accompanied by a 'Ready to disrupt the 5G game' tag and a 'coming soon' hashtag.

The Poco M6 Pro 5G is projected to improve over last year's Poco M4 Pro 5G. The latter was released in February last year and costs Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option. The 6GB + 128GB configuration costs Rs. 16,999, while the top-end 8GB + 128GB variant costs Rs. 18,999.

The teaser photographs show the Poco M6 Pro 5G phone in cyan from the back, with curved panels. It is very similar with the same rectangular-shaped camera module and dual-tone design as the Poco M4 Pro 5G. It is seen with a dual back camera system and an LED flash. It also sports Poco branding on the back.
The Poco M4 Pro 5G has a 6.6-inch full-HD+ Dot Display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Poco M4 Pro 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC and up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The Poco M4 Pro 5G device features a dual rear camera arrangement with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, the Poco M4 Pro 5G phone has a 16-megapixel sensor on the front, combined with an f/2.45 lens. Poco M4 Pro 5G has up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage with microSD card expansion (up to 1TB) and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W Pro fast charging.
