Some of Poco's most popular items in India have been from its X series. Two models from the lineup, the Poco X3 and the Poco X3 Pro were scheduled to debut in India in 2021 and later the pro models got cancelled, but now it is expected that it will be done shortly.
Himanshu Tandon, the president of Poco India, tweeted last month that a Poco X5 model to complement the Poco X5 Pro is being "seriously evaluated" by the firm. He announced the Poco X5's impending release on Monday via Twitter.
On the other hand, the Poco X5 has already been released "globally," and if the Indian version is planned to be the same, it will feature the following features.
Poco X5 Specifications
The Poco X5 will feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400, an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 will safeguard it.
The Adreno 619 GPU and the 6nm Snapdragon 695 chipset will power the phone.
The back of the Poco X5 will have a triple camera module with a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera for photography. The 13MP snapper will handle selfies up front.
The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and can be charged quickly with 33 W. An infrared sensor, an IP53 rating, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and USB-C charging are additional features.
The phone comes pre-loaded with Android 12-based MIUI 13, weighs 189g, and has dimensions of 165.9 x 76.2 x 8 mm.

The worldwide variation of the Poco X5 is accessible in dark, blue, and green variety variations. The 6GB+128GB model starts at Rs 20,737, while the 8GB+256GB model costs Rs 24,461.
