APC continues to remain as the brand of choice amongst Indian enterprises,
while others who made it to the club are also well known brands. These include
Emerson (Liebert) at number two, followed by Numeric, Compact, and DB Power.
APC had the highest brand perception across all seven industries we reached
out to this time, which is quite an achievement. Emerson showed relatively
stronger presence in communication media industry and average brand perception
score in BFSI and IT/ITeS segments. It's perception score in education and
services industries was alarmingly low. Numeric was strong in communication and
media as well as the BFSI segment. Compact's perception was relatively higher in
process manufacturing industry. D B Power's presence was strong in the discrete
manufacturing segment. The brand loyalty percentage for APC however, was
surprisingly low. Only 29% of APC's existing users said they're likely to stay
with the brand in the near future. 68% had no plans or were not sure about which
brand would they were likely to shift to. Emerson had the highest brand loyalty
at 46% followed by compact at 40% and Numeric at 38%. But the good news for APC
is that 5.6% of the owners of power conditioning equipment for other brands said
they were likely to switch to APC. likely to shift to HP, while 8% of HP's
existing customers showed a tendency for moving to IBM. Wipro had the highest
brand loyalty of 67%, but 17% of its existing users were also likely to shift to
IBM.
