Premier (India) Bearings works from 4 locations in north, Gurgaon, Ludhiana,
Chandigarh and Mundra, and it was very difficult to track the quantity and value
of inventory available at these locations. Due to lack of consolidated
information in real time, inventory planning was very difficult. Stocks, sales ,
orders on hand and orders of manufacturers had to be compiled and processed
after combining, for each location. Lots of efforts was wasted and lots of
excess items were being ordered. Because of non integrated view of the inventory
every location was ordering independently without considering stock availability
at other locations. Lots of inventory which were non moving at one location were
required at other locations but were still being reordered to manufacturer
causing a dead stock accumulation and blockage of funds.

all the information available at one place, and being easy to track, customer
queries are now answered more quickly. The company has been able to plan their
import orders in much better fashion and are able to process schedule orders of
customers and manufacturers with clear control on deliveries.

Also using stock transfer function, company has been able to save on multiple
sale & purchase entries happening at different locations.
