Starting this month, we'll cover some exciting features of Windows Vista, the successor to Windows XP. Let's begin with a feature of Vista called Network Presentation that lets you watch presentations online over your LAN and wireless networks. So you don't have to be physically present. Using this feature you can connect the projector in your meeting room to the network, and access the projection on your desktop. You can also give demos to your clients online. Teachers can give hands-on lessons to individual students on their individual desktops. Let's see how to use this feature now. Remember this particular feature works only on Windows Vista. The current Windows stable platforms, such as Win XP or 2003 will not be able to use this feature at all. Perhaps MS will introduce the presentation-viewing client for other versions of Windows as well.
To start network presentation broadcast, click on Start>Programs>Network Presentation> Broadcast a Presentation.
