When the PS5 was originally released in November 2020, Sony released the PS Plus Collection, which won't be around for very long.
From May 9, PlayStation 5 users won't be able to access the PS Plus Collection, which provides a variety of notable games like God of War (2018), The Last of Us, and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.
It makes sense that the selection of titles was intended to persuade PS5 players to purchase a PS Plus membership.
From that moment, the market leader in gaming consoles has introduced the Extra and Premium levels, which provide access to Game Catalog and Classic Catalog, which offer a more appealing selection of games. Additionally, it appears that the company will no longer offer the PS Plus Collection.
There is still plenty of time to make the most of the collection for PS5 players who have an active PS Plus subscription. Those who claim PS Plus Collection games before they are removed will continue to have access to those games for as long as their subscription is active, according to Sony. The user has the option of downloading the games at any time after claiming them.
To claim PS Plus Collection games on the PS5, the steps that are listed on the official website are as follows:
- Navigate to the PS Plus tile on the Games home screen and select it.
- Select "PlayStation Plus Collection" from the "Benefits" section down.
- After that, select "Download" after selecting the game you want to download.
Unless you have access to the Game Catalog, which includes Extra and Premium tiers, you will only be able to purchase a game for a price on the PS Store if you miss the deadline to claim it.
