Skype is one of the most favoured business apps globally for communications. The app is rich in features that includes group video calling, rich text messaging, calling to standard phones, Wi-Fi hotspots, live translation, and most interestingly is available for every major platform. And while we use is widely, most of the times, we forget few parts of the meeting that were important. Here in this article we will tell you how to record a Skype meeting to play it later.

It should be kept in mind that when you record a Skype meeting, you can capture audio, video, instant messaging (IM), screen sharing, PowerPoint slides, whiteboard activity, and polling. Any user can record a meeting and save it on their computers.

Here is how to record your Skype meeting

Tap on the ‘More Options button,’ and click on ‘Start Recording’ during your Skype business meeting.

In case your recording is dim, check for audio. Tap on the mic icon to connect audio, then try again.

The app also offers controls such as to pause, resume, or stop the recording at the bottom of the app.

If you want to view who else is recording, click on the red recording button.

When the meeting is finished, click Stop Recording.

Skype for Business saves all the recording in MP4 format that can be played in Windows Media Player or any compatible media player.

Here is how to play and share a recording

After you have finished recording the business meeting, you can access it to play or send to others. Skype for Business pops up a message when your recording is ready. Users can directly click the pop-up to open Recording Manager, or you can head to Tools on the Skype for Business on the main window, then go to Recording Manager.

In the Recording Manager window:

Check for your recording, a click highlights it, then click Play located at the right side of the window. The app also allows you to rename or delete your recording.

If you want to share your recording with others, click Browse to locate it, then copy the file to post on a shared location.
