The ZTE rebranded tablet which comes with 3G data plans from Reliance, has the subscriber locked-in. This means that the user cannot change the data plan provider for the tablet and has to be content with Reliance network and services. The Reliance 3G Tab comes with a Reliance GSM SIM card and 3G services activated along with exclusive offers on tariffs and plans. The tablet is network locked and can only be used with an RCom SIM card. The user has the option of not buying the data plan upfront but using the tablet in Wi-Fi only mode but this would eradicate the portable connectivity option. The Reliance Tab comes with the latest Google Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and runs on an 800 MHz processor under the hood. The build quality of the tablet is about decent when compared with some of the tabs in competition. The hardware specs on the tablet are not the best; particularly a 512 MB on board storage spec is particularly appalling. Reliance however provides a 4 GB micro SD card along with the tablet bundled in the price. The 7-inch capacitive touchscreen is fluid to a large extent. The 3400 mAh battery is average. The good point about the tablet is the fact that it uses a micro USB charger which is good for sharing and usability unlike a proprietary piece. The tablet finds cameras in the front for video chats as well as a 2 MP camera at the back for regular usage. The tablet weighs 389 gms which is on the lighter side and extends its portability. Reliance offers three different rental plans - Rs 4,500 for 1 GB per month, Rs 5,500 for 2 GB per month and Rs 7,000 for 5 GB per month.

Bottomline: If you're ok with the average hardware specs and the lock-in with Reliance for 3G, then go for this one.
