Performance

Despite having compact size, the speaker delivers a powerful and sharp audio experience that will keep you engaged with your favorite music genres. During our month-long testing period, we thoroughly enjoyed listening to a variety of tracks, focusing on tracks like “Greece 2000 (System Nipel vs. Cosmic Tone RMX)” by Three Drives and “Streets of Philadelphia” by Bruce Springsteen.

The speaker's sound boasts a good balance of bass, providing a decent level of depth to the audio. The sharpness and aggression of the sound are particularly noticeable in the initial loop of "Greece 2000." As we transitioned to "Streets of Philadelphia," the powerful and clear thump at the beginning of the track made a strong impact. The Pocket Blast BT's large drivers contribute to an incredible soundstage, surpassing expectations for a portable speaker.

For audiophiles who appreciate lossless FLAC audio files, the Pocket Blast BT delivers a noticeable improvement in audio quality. When playing these files, you'll experience a richer sound with additional detail and a wider dynamic range. However, it is worth noting that while the overall sound reproduction was satisfactory, there was a slight lack of warmth and bass, and we noticed distortion at high volume.

When we utilized the speaker for making calls, the call audio quality was decent enough, delivering clear sound. However, the microphone performance is average. To ensure optimal clarity during conversations, you should keep the speaker positioned relatively close to you while speaking. Failing to do so may result in the other person having trouble in hearing you clearly.

Battery

In terms of battery life, the Pocket Blast BT's 1500 mAh battery proved to be reliable. During our testing, where we played audio loops across various genres at full volume, we obtained an impressive playback time of 3 hours and 33 minutes on a single charge. Under normal usage conditions, the speaker offers a solid 6+ hours of continuous playback, ensuring that your music enjoyment lasts for extended periods without interruption.
