Blaupunkt 4K Android TV (55CSA7090) Review

In the past couple of years, LED screens have got major developments, from SD to 4K screens. Now 4K smart TVs are not only in demand also available at a competitive price. Blaupunkt, a German brand, introduced its next 4k smart TV, let’s see what’s new in this–

Build and design

The TV has got quite a lean look, it has very thin bezels. At the bottom of the screen, it has a silver lining with Blaupunkt branding that grabs your attention, as it has in its previous (BLA49AU680) 4K smart TV, but that has silver bezels across the screen and this time at the bottom only.

The body is made out of solid plastic. The unit comes with a pair of stands and a wall mount. The stands are made of plastic yet looks metallic and has a solid build. It hosts a variety of ports at the back, including two HDMI, one HDMI (Arc), RJ45, two USB ports, and two AV ports. Also, it supports wireless connectivity, meaning you can connect to your WiFi to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube and more.

The TV has a 55-inches 4K UHD resolution screen delivering awesome picture quality. With the life-like clarity. The 4K TV offers real wide viewing angles allowing you to enjoy your favourite content from any angle. You can enjoy 4K videos, sports broadcasts and video games at a frame rate of 60 fps.

Performance

The 4K smart TV not only offers rich display quality but will also take your smart TV experience to another level. The Android TV is powered by a MediaTek chipset equipped with a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor, 2 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. It runs on Android 10 offering a fluid experience. The UI is clean and is easy to navigate. It comes with various pre-loaded apps including Netflix, Amazon Prime, LiveTV, YouTube and Facebook etc. Additionally, you can download your favourite OTT and other apps and games on the TV using the Play Store.

It comes with 8 GB of internal storage meaning you can add new videos and apps. Like a smartphone you can enjoy several smart features with the TV, for instance, casting your smartphone screen on the big screen, playing games etc.

We used the TV for more than a month and watched HD TV channels, YouTube videos, games, etc. It handled every content smoothly even on Mira cast there was no visible lag in content sharing. The 3840 x 2160 Ultra HD – 4X screen resolution produces vibrant colours. We enjoyed UHD videos on it and while playing 4K content, it delivered awesome picture quality.

Loudspeakers 

The TV has two speakers that produce loud sound, enough for a room size of 15x15 feet. The base was not up to the mark however you won't glitch at the peak volume levels. It offers a home theatre like experience and overall it’s a good sound treat, just not for bass lovers.

The Remote

The smart TV comes with a remote with dedicated keys for Netflix, YouTube, etc. The range is also good plus it has inbuilt mic for voice control.
