Gionee M7 Power Review

This phone has 6-inch 720 x 1440 pixels resolution screen with quite narrow bezels on both sides. The top and bottom bezels are a bit thick that is usual, as it holds speaker grill and camera on the top and Gionee logo on the bottom. Having the 18:9 aspect ratio, the phone doesn’t feel bulky while holding in one hand. It reproduces good colors and has good viewing angles. The screen is bright enough, enabling to use in direct sunlight without any problem. You can enjoy videos and games with your friends and family.

Gionee M7 Power Review: Camera

The smartphone is equipped with a 13-megapixel camera at the back with a single LED flash and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Its camera app comes with basic features and various shooting modes. Also, it has a professional mode that allows you to control different parameters of the camera. The daylight shots of the phone are sharp with a good amount of details. The Auto HDR can help you capture better shots with ample amount of details, but it struggles with metering. The Low light images are above average with low details and noise levels.

The front selfie shoot is also above average with grainy shots. It has a 3D Photo option, choose the mode and move the camera around the object to capture the 3D image. The M7 Power which requires you to move the camera around an object to capture it in 3D. But unfortunately, the output is not great, it looks like you recorded a few seconds video.

Gionee M7 power is packed with Qualcomm MSM8940 Snapdragon 435 SoC, Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processor and Adreno 505 GPU. It is combined with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 256GB. The smartphone runs on its own Amigo 5.0 UI on top of Android Nougat. The UI is quite clean and smooth with several quick settings accessible by swiping down from the notification area. As like previous Gionee smartphones, this also comes with gesture control. Another interesting part of the phone is - App Clone option. You can use dual WhatsApp account using the app clone options.

It has Private Space as well enabling users to hide contacts, messages, notes and call recordings using a separate fingerprint or passcode. This space can be accessed from the lock screen by using the particular fingerprint, or by doing a two-finger swipe in the aforementioned apps.

The phone has a combination of powerful hardware. It runs smoothly without any lag in the performance. We tested the phone for more than three weeks and loaded it with several apps and games. We didn’t notice any visible performance lag while playing the high graphics intensive games. Even while switching between them, there was no glitch.

Gionee M7 Power Review: Great Battery

The large phone has the giant battery - 5000mAH. In our moderate usage, it was able to last for more than two days on a single charge. Play games, music, surf internet or go to social media channels, M7 Power would offer you uninterrupted entertainment.
