Great Sound, Great Price!

The Carbide earbud from iFrogz is an elegant and stylish earphone with a unique design that fits easily and comfortably in ears. The pair of earphones produces sound with a strong neodymium magnet commonly used in headphones.

Design and Components

The review unit we received was black in color (also available in multicolor designs) with glossy metallic finishing with some patterns embossed on it alongside IFrogz logo, which makes it look very premium. The earphone drivers sit very ergonomically in a circular tapered pipe fitting on conical chamber designed shell. Because of its unique design and soft buds, it provides good isolation from the ambient noise.

For different sized ear holes, it comes with small, medium and large size ear buds (two silicon and one AeroFoam buds). It offers a 1.2mm long tangle-resistant nylon cable that includes the magnetic storage clip for easy cable management and one bud listening.

Performance

For driving the sound out, iFrogz Carbide Earbuds features 8mm neodymium driver having an impedance of 16 ohms and frequency range of 20 Hz-20 KHz. It has a sensitivity of 100dB. With the low impedance and sensitivity of 100db, this earphone is good for low power devices such Mp3 players. The sound quality it offers is worth to listen, as earphones what sound quality it offers is better than the brainwave m5 earphone both in bass and vocal. On tracks with intense sub-bass content, it delivered decent bass and good sound. Also, there is no hissing and buzzing sound while playing jazz acoustics. There is fidelity clarity in vocals when listening to music at lower volume levels. The built-in mic remote of the earphone can be used to manage music and calls, we used it for calls and we didn’t find any drop in voice while conversation.

Storage and Portability

Also, the drivers of the earphone are magnetized that helps the buds or complete driver shell to attached around your neck for easy, tangle-free storage and can stick one to the storage clip for simple one-bud listening. The weight of the earphone is 14.70gms.
