Cons: Average performance

The member in the Karbonn family Aura Power 4G Plus comes with a gigantic battery and 4G support for faster connectivity. The budget smartphone is light on your pocket but is it able to deliver what Karbonn promises! Let’s find out.

Build quality
The new Aura Power 4G Plus front panel looks plain vanilla, which you can find with most of the budget devices. The body is made out of solid and durable plastic, additionally, the back cover is painted in Champagne gives it an attractive appearance. Aura Power 4G Plus comes in two elegant colors- Grey and Champagne with a free protective cover.

Screen and camera
Aura Power 4G Plus boasts a 5-inch screen with an HD IPS display. It produces decent colors and brightness levels are also good, enabling you to use the device even in direct sunlight. You can enjoy movies and games on it, though the sharpness is not much great yet acceptable at this price point. With wide viewing angles, it lets you share the screen with your friends and family with ease.

The 4G smartphone is equipped with a 5 MP front camera with an inbuilt face beauty option for selfies and a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash. The camera app combines options like Panorama shot, continuous shot and face detection. The daylight shots are good with the decent amount of details and colors, but in low light shots, you can see noise easily.

The budget phone is powered by 1.25 GHz quad-core processor, combined with a 1 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, 32 GB expandable memory and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. While testing the mobile, I used it for more than two weeks. As it’s a budget phone, thus I can’t expect it to perform heavy tasks or do multitasking with heavy apps, yet it was able to handle all the basic activities. When I went ahead and installed some high-graphics intensive games on it, the lag was visible.

Aura Power 4G Plus is powered with Li-ion 4000 mAh battery which is the main highlight of the phone. I was able to use the phone for more than a day with moderate usage. In our battery loop test, it played video for 10 hours and 12 minutes with full volume and brightness.
