We received Lenovo Ideapad 310 review unit with 15.6-inch screen enclosed in a synthetic material plastic body. The laptop is available in different colours, making it an interesting choice for different people. Though it has a plastic body, the paint on the top and the bottom finish gives it an attractive look. Overall it's a good looking laptop to flaunt.

Apart from looks, it’s also packed with lots of connectivity options including USB 3.0 Optical Drive, Bluetooth 4.1 Combo with WiFi Card, 3.5 mm Combo Audio Jack, VGA, HDMI, RJ45 Gigabit LAN and 4-in-1 Card Reader (SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC). Though it has numerous options for connectivity, we missed type C port which is becoming popular in the market. The IdeaPad has a Chiclet keyboard with flat keys. The keys are quite soft and responsive enabling you to type even for longer hours. It offers comfortable yet crisp press resistance.

The laptop boasts a 15.6-inch display that supports 1366x768 pixels resolution. It offers a native contrast of 714:1, enhancing your visual experience. The brightness levels of Ideapad 310 are also good. The colours on the screen are quite vibrant, offering great pleasure while watching videos or playing games.

Can handle various intensive applications

Lenovo IdeaPad 310 is not for gamers but it is equipped with powerful hardware which lets you do almost everything. It can handle numerous intensive applications easily. We tested the notebook for more than three weeks. We installed different apps and games on it as well as performed several other day-to-day tasks. It was able to handle them without any visible lag in the performance. We played games like Thief and Shadow of Mordor and there was no visible performance lag.

It is equipped with stereo speakers producing a good amount of sound. You can enjoy music as well as games on it. The speakers produce crisp sound, but loud enough to watch a movie in a large room, where it’s recommended to use external speakers.

Optimal battery life

While using the laptop, it was able to stand for more than 18 hours with moderate usage, which includes internet browsing, videos and games, etc. And with heavy usage and core gaming, it was able to deliver more than 4 hours of backup in one full charge. In our video loop test, it delivered 5 hours and 32 minutes of backup when playing videos over YouTube using Wi-Fi with full brightness and volume.
