Lenovo VIBE P1m is the latest edition to Lenovo’s Vibe P franchise that equipped with whooping 4000mAh battery and aims to solve the unending issue faced by smartphone users today i.e. battery life. It also has P2i nano-coating which makes it splash-proof and dust resistant making it favorable for users who are more on the move and demand durability.

P1m has a 5" screen along with a metallic frame and a classy matte-finish back. It is supported by a 64 bit Quad-Core processor along with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory (expandable to 32 GB).  Included with the smartphone is USB On-the-Go cable allowing you to juice up your other dead devices and share data too. When the VIBE P1m eventually runs out of juice, its quick charge feature gives you a few hours of talk time with just a 15-minute charge. In addition, a single flick of the power saver switch extends battery life.

The IPS LCD screen with pixel density of 294 ppi delivers good color reproduction. Browsing the web, watching videos, playing games all look beautiful on the device. The Gorilla Glass screen gives an added protection to the screen and the Splash-proof coating protects the phone accidental spills.

We also ran benchmarks to check for its computing power and Vibe P1m did surface good results. In Quadrant it scored 11091 outperforming HTC One X, Motorola Atrix 4G, Samsung Galaxy Tab etc. In Antutu benchmark that comprehensively tests all aspects of a device, including UX, GPU, RAM, CPU, I/O and more it scored 25404. The 1.0GHz quad-core MediaTek processor coupled with 2GB RAM is capable of smooth multitasking. The device runs the latest version of Android Lollipop v5.1 operating system.

The 8MP rear shooter is better for shooting when there is enough light and is not suited for low light conditions. The 5MP front  snapper is good for selfie lovers and clicks good pictures. The camera comes with inbuilt features like Continuous Shooting, Face detection, Geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR) and Touch to focus.

For music aficionados the smartphone delivers good sound clarity with less distortion, however beware if your music library contains more complicated tracks.

Bundled apps like SHAREit with CLONEit lets you rapidly share files wirelessly across smartphone and other devices without network charges or a WiFi connection. You can also be more productive on the go with apps such as Evernote and Kingsoft Office. The Vibe P1m also includes support for high-speed LTE (4G) networks for the fastest data connectivity allowing you to seamlessly surf websites, apps, and games at their best.

We did not find any lag or hanging issues with the smartphone over the usage of 15 days. However being equipped with non removable battery,  if your mobile gets struck and all your controls stops working then you can’t reset by removing the battery. And the only option that left for is to wait until the charge gets dry up.
