Bottomline: Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus is a good looking device packed with good combination of hardware. It runs smooth, has powerful battery and has several attractive features such as U health app and fingerprint button with various functions. At this price, it is a good bet to have.

The smartphone market is growing rapidly. Almost every week we see a new brand. Due to rising competition, even well-known brands are also coming with devices with great features but at a reasonable price. Lenovo is not a new name though and its new Zuk 2 Plus phone comes at an attractive price and is packed with loads of features.

Solid design

The first impression while holding the device is of an impressive device. Sleek and slate style design fits comfortably in hands. Shiny glass plastic is new trend in the industry and has been used by Lenovo in this phone. The plastic works as a magnet to grimes. Thankfully, the device comes with a silicon cover that hides the back panel and makes it sturdier. But, sometimes its shape and design remind us of iPhone 5 or SE though a larger one.

Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus Review

The device has a fingerprint scanner in the front which can also be used to perform several other tasks. For instance, swipe it up to get shortcuts of enabling disabling various services, tap it and it will work like back button and more.

Monitors your daily activities

Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus comes with U-health app, which tracks steps, burnt calories and distance covered. Though there are third party apps available in the play store, the Plus is Lenovo optimises the app so that it consumes power to negligible levels. It could work as an alternative to smart bands.

Have fun

Z2 Plus is packed with 15-inch LTPS IPS screen with 1080X1920p resolution, meaning you can enjoy various high-res games and videos. It produces rich colors and brightness level is also great letting you use the phone in direct sunlight without any problem. It is backed by powerful processor and 4 GB of RAM allowing you to play high graphics intensive games as well as productive apps. While using the device for more than 3 weeks, we added games like Mortal Combat X and Asphalt 8. It runs smoothly without any visible performance lag.

Another good aspect is that Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus is powered by a 3500 mAh battery. Lenovo understands the need of consumers, so again adds a powerful battery that allows you to play with the device for more than a day. In moderate usage, it can be with you for more than 20 hours and in our video test it lasted for 5 hours and 48 minutes while watching movie over wi-fi with full brightness and volume.

Capture moments quickly

The smartphone has 13 MP camera at the rear which is quite fast in terms of capturing moments. We liked the performance of the rear camera in both bright and low light conditions. It was able to capture detailed images quickly. Camera UI is clean and gives you options like slow motion, time lapse, and HDR. Video quality is also decent, but not so impressive. The front 8 MP camera is also quite good for video chats and selfies.
