Indian companies are competing in the smartphone market space alongside the foreign companies and a new name has been added in this race viz., Smartron. It first brought, a convertible running on Windows 10, and now it comes with a smartphone called No doubt for a new company, standing in the most competitive space is quite tough, yet we believe could do better as it stands out of the crowd.

Stimulating design

You must have seen phones which look similar to one or another popular phone. We can say they tried to keep a fresh design with good balance. With the slate style design, it has large bezels on the top and bottom hosting camera and speakers respeSmartron tphone Reviewctively. Due to bezels on the both space, it becomes a bit large, but it fits comfortably in hands. has dual tone colour design, which is quite rare. The review unit we received has combination of grey and sunrise orange. It looks good not only because of colour and design but also because of its slim outline and light weight, just 6.98mm.

Vibrant 5.5-inch AMOLED screen

The large screen produces vivid colors. You can enjoy games, videos etc. on it without any problem. As it has AMOLED screen, text looks crisp as well as brightness lets you read it easily in any lighting condition. Smartron also offers a suite of settings for screen, for instance, you can activate assertive display which activates the pixel processing algorithm to improve visibility in outdoor conditions.

Enjoy games and other tasks, but camera is a bit disappointing

The overall performance of the phone is quite impressive. It’s backed by a bit old generation CPU, but you won’t find any visible performance lag while playing graphics intensive games, multitasking or using any heavy app. With stock Android  M experience you would enjoy using the device, but an occasional heating problem is there.

Smartron tphone Review

The primary 13 MP camera is good in shooting videos and capturing life moments with rich colors, but we miss the details. It has powerful LED flash, letting you capture images in low light conditions with generating much noise. The front 4 MP is a bit lower in terms of MP if you compare it with competitors. However, it offers good video calling and selfie experience.

Backed by a 3000 mAh battery, the phone can easily stand for more than 20 hours in one full charge with moderate usage. It has USB type C port which allows you to charge the device as well as transfer data faster than micro USB. With heavy usage, it heats up occasionally. Hence, battery could drain faster. In our video loop test, it played video over wi-fi with full volume and brightness for about 4 hours and 42 minutes.

With you get 64 GB of internal storage with option to expand up to 128 GB. Additionally, you get unlimited storage, meaning no need to worry about the storage space. Making it ideal for both professionals and individuals as they can store a ton of documents, songs, videos etc.

Smartron tphone Review

The phone comes with additional 4-mic array which works perfectly for noise cancellation so that you can listen loud and clear sound every time.

It boasts DTS Premium Sound and DTS PlayFi which means that you get awesome sound for music and videos.
