You are on your way to office and have come a long way on a busy Monday
morning, when you begin wondering whether you switched off the iron before
leaving. Now, you can save yourself the doubts and the trip back home through this
implementation.
You get a Web interface to access the micro-controlled devices and switches
at your home from anywhere. The software for this project is written in Java.
The project brings in flexibility and compatibility, ease of use, and low
costs of implementation. With the help of Java.net APIs and Javax.comm APIs, a
web server has been created to take requests and process themas per your needs.
The project is hardcoded to control four switching appliances,
two voltage control appliances, and one temperature sensor which can tell you
the temperature of a room.
The hardware consists of an embedded controller, which handles the command
and sends the response back. The software for the controller is written in C
language.
