You get a Web interface to access the micro-controlled devices and switches

at your home from anywhere. The software for this project is written in Java.

The project brings in flexibility and compatibility, ease of use, and low

costs of implementation. With the help of Java.net APIs and Javax.comm APIs, a

web server has been created to take requests and process themas per your needs.

The project is hardcoded to control four switching appliances,

two voltage control appliances, and one temperature sensor which can tell you

the temperature of a room.

The hardware consists of an embedded controller, which handles the command

and sends the response back. The software for the controller is written in C

language.
