In India, Samsung has unveiled the new Galaxy A14 smartphone for users on a modest budget. The new product was released a few weeks after the business unveiled the Galaxy A34 (Rs 30,999) and Galaxy A54 (Rs 40,999), two comparatively more expensive models. Despite lacking 5G capability, the new Galaxy A14 resembles the smartphones above in appearance. With the Galaxy A14, Samsung has made a few more concessions to keep costs down.

  • This year, Samsung has been presenting its smartphones in a similar form, whether the high-end Galaxy S23 or the low-cost Galaxy A45. The new Galaxy A14 shares a similar appearance to its previous siblings, but the rear panel has some texture to assist users in identifying between its luxury and entry-level handsets. Naturally, the build quality varies for cell phones to account for the higher cost.
  • However, the front panel of the Galaxy A14 sports wide bezels and a dated waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. Instead of the popular AMOLED display, which offers a superior viewing experience, Samsung has opted for an LCD. The 6.6-inch screen's native Full-HD+ (1080x2408) resolution is a plus. A 13-megapixel front camera is available.
  • A 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera are on the back panel. A 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, which is gradually becoming rare among smartphones under Rs 20,000, has also been added by Samsung. The Galaxy A14 can capture Full-HD videos at 30 frames per second.

  • A dual-SIM card, a USB-C connector for charging, expandable storage via microSD card (up to 1TB), and a 5000mAh battery are further noteworthy features. Due to its dedication to the environment, Samsung no longer includes a charger in the box. Although users may want to look towards less expensive third-party chargers with a Type-C connector, the official 25W Samsung charger costs Rs 1,299 in India.
