Samsung has set 1 February as their massive Galaxy Unpacked event in 2023. However, the South Korean phone manufacturer has yet to formally reveal the smartphones that will be unveiled during the event.

The internet has been ablaze with rumours, expectations, and indications from the firm itself. The next series, believed to be dubbed the Galaxy S23 range, will comprise three models: the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

A faster processor

  • The newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU is slated to power the new Samsung series.
  • Qualcomm acknowledged the rumours about the next processor's release in November.
  • "We agreed into a new multiyear deal with Samsung in smartphones, boosting the usage of Snapdragon platforms for future premium Samsung Galaxy devices internationally." - Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Renno Amon.
  • The phone will include Qualcomm's third-generation fingerprint scanner.

Display & Camera

  • The S23 Ultra is also believed to sport a back camera system with a 200-megapixel sensor.
  • Meanwhile, the selfie camera contains a new image sensor with superior focusing and depth awareness, which might result in a 4K selfie video recording.
  • The phone might have an E6 AMOLED display.
  • It is also predicted that Samsung will adopt UFS 4.0 storage technology, allowing the phone to start apps and quickly load photographs saved in the gallery.

The projected colours for the three new models are Cotton Flower, Phantom Black, Botanic Green, and Misty Lilac.

Price

  • The new phone line is projected to cost more than its predecessors, the S22 series.
  • According to currency conversion rates and claims by tipster Yogesh Brar, the new basic variant, Galaxy S23, would retail at Rs 79,999 for 128 GB storage and Rs 83,999 for 256 GB storage.
  • The Galaxy S23+ may have the same storage choices and cost Rs 89,999 and Rs 93,999, respectively.
  • The high-end Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is set to retail for Rs 1,14,999 with 256 GB of storage.
