Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 Officially Announced for January 17, with a Teaser Themed as 'Galaxy AI is Coming'

The South Korean electronics giant, Samsung, said on Wednesday that it will hold its inaugural Galaxy Unpacked event on January 17, 2024. In addition to being live streamed on all Samsung official platforms, this event will also be held in person at the SAP Center in San Jose. It is anticipated that the upcoming Galaxy S phone generation likely to be dubbed the Galaxy S24 will be present at the occasion.

Pre-orders for the new phones are already being accepted by the brand. With the release of its past two non-foldable flagship smartphones in February, Samsung's unpacked event is taking place earlier this year. February 1, 2023, saw the introduction of the Galaxy S23 series, while on February 9, 2022, the Galaxy S22 range made its debut.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 Timeline Details 

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event will begin on Wednesday, January 17 at 11:30 PM IST (1:00 PM EST) at SAP in San Jose, California like previous Galaxy Unpacked events, it will be streamed live via the company's Newsroom website and YouTube channel. This date has previously appeared as part of several rumors. 

The event will showcase Samsung and the next-generation Galaxy S devices, the Galaxy S24 collection. The invitation features the key "Galaxy AI is coming" hints at built-in AI features in the latest flagship series, which is said to include three models - the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The company says the new Galaxy S series sets the highest standard for the smartest mobile experience. It also teases offering "a brand new AI-powered mobile experience."

Additionally, Samsung has opened a pre-order program for the Galaxy S24 series through the company and its Indian website. Interested users can register for a VIP pass by paying Rs. 1999 to get the phones as soon as possible.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Specifications (Expected)

• Samsung's Galaxy S24 family is expected to feature Android 14-based One UI 6.1 and AMOLED LTPO displays with a refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz.
• The Ultra version is said to come with a 200-megapixel quad camera, while the standard models could have a 50-megapixel triple camera.
• The company and its internal Exynos 2400 chip could power the Galaxy S24 in all countries except the US and Canada.
• • A customized Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC known as the "Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC Galaxy" may be included in the phone's packaging in the US and Canada.
• The Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S24+, on the other hand, are likely to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for the Galaxy in all markets.
