New Update

On April 9th,2013, Samsung announced the entry of 20 new TV models, across its Smart TV series 8,7,6 and LED TV series. Among the most notable among these is the F8000 and F7500 models, which are the first Samsung TVs to feature quad-core processors. F8000 also boasts of a new feature called "Intelligent Viewing", that creates an optimized picture quality depending on the source of content. Combined with a quad-core processor, it may prove to be a powerhouse for power users who switch between apps, online services and live tv constantly.

The F8000 and F7500 also have voice and motion control recognition, which has been improved since previous versions. Users can make gestures to rotate images, or zoom in and out. A smart touch control is provided with all the TVs, which is purely touch based and users can even write down chanel numbers to switch channels. Samsung's Smart Hub has also been improved, with an updated interface and three new panels. The Apps panel, which allows users to display up to 30 apps on a page, can be enjoyed even more with an updated motion control.

The connectivity with Samsung smartphones and tablets makes for an interesting combination, as Samsung has announced that the devices can be used as remote controls for the TV, or they can even mirror the content from their Smart TV onto their device so they can bring it around the house without missing a second. It will be interesting to see the further interactions that can be done between Samsung mobile devices and the Smart TVs. According to the press release, current Smart TV range is in screen sizes between 32" to 65", priced between Rs 37,900/- to Rs. 367,500/-
