Samsung launches UHD Curved TV, Galaxy Note 3 Neo Phablet, Galaxy Tab 3 Neo Tablet in India

Samsung Forum 2014 concluded with a series of launches which include Galaxy Note 3 Neo, Galaxy Tab 3 Neo, Galaxy Grand Neo & Note Pro, along with introduction of Business core printing solutions and NFC Printers

At the annual forum event, Samsung looked to expand its artillery by flourishing it with newer range of products in different categories. By doing so, they want to target specific consumer segments in Indian subcontinent.

The event showcased Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo as an extension to Note series line-up.

The 5.5 inch phablet packs Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS and looks exactly similar to its sibling Note 3, keeping shape & size in mind. The Note 3 Neo is powered by a new Hexa (six) core processor (Dual 1.7 GHz + Quad 1.3 GHz), and boasts of 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, a Super Amoled HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixel, 3100 mAh battery and the S Pen stylus. There is an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash with a 2 MP front-facing camera. It is fully loaded with connectivity features like GPS, Glonass, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and USB 2.0. As compared to Note 3, the Note 3 Neo is priced much lesser at Rs 40,990, though it is packed with most of the high end features of Note 3. But if you are making a pre-order then you will get more discounts, as Samsung has offered a price of Rs 38,990 for first 1000 preorders. The Galaxy Note 3 Neo will be available in Black, White, and Mint Green color variants.

In the smartphone category, there was another big announcement in mid-range section: Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo. Lookwise, it is similar to Grand but slightly differs in specs. Both phones have got Android 4.2 (Jelly bean) OS, 1 GB RAM, dual-sim functionality and 5-inch screens with 800x480p resolution. Grand Neo is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad core which is nicely supported by 8GB internal storage (expandable to 64 GB). Grand Neo has a 5MP rear camera and VGA front camera, compared to the 8MP rear camera and 1.2MP front camera of the original Grand. It will be available in four options- White, midnight Black, Orange and Lime Green. The Grand Neo is priced at Rs 18,450.

With the objective to increase its in enterprise computing section, Samsung launched Galaxy Note Pro tablet. This tablet has a 12.2 inch screen; making it the largest tablet in the world offers a stunning resolution of 2500x1600 pixels. The device is priced very highly at a whopping Rs 64,990 point but Samsung feels that they will have enough potential buyers in the country. Multi window, Virtual Keyboard, S Pen, Pen Window, WebEx Meeting and e-meetings are some of the in-built features that make this tablet a special one. Out of the box, it will run on latest Android 4.4 (Kitkat) OS. Note Pro is available with various connectivity options: Wi-Fi only, Wi-Fi & 3G or Wi-Fi & LTE.

While in the 7-inch segment, Galaxy Tab 3 Neo was the new addition which was priced at Rs 16,490. The device runs on Android Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and backed up by 1 GB of RAM & 3600 mAh battery. It is boasted by 8GB internal storage (expandable via microSD), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. There is one 3G version as well.
