Since the disclosure that Samsung will launch a new product on August 15th , the rumor mills have been churning out technical specifications of the new Note II. We have a look at some of the rumors about the components of the Note II, and how it compares with Note I from late 2011.

Processor: The international variant of the Note I had a dual-core 1.4 Ghz Exynos Processor , while the Note II is reported to carry a quad-core 1.6 Ghz Exynos processor. Since it will support the 4G LTE network, US customers will have to settle for a dual-core Snapdragon processor on the Note 2.

Display: While the Note I had a 5.3 inch HD display with a 1280X800 resolution, multiple sources have reported that the Note II will have a slightly bigger 5.5 inch HD screen.

Camera: The Note I had a 8 Megapixel Camera, but a lot of reports have said that the Note II will have a 12/13 Megapixel Camera. It will also not be surprising if it carries many of the stunning camera features found in the Samsung Galaxy S III, such as the Burst Shot Mode.

Memory: The Note I had 1 GB of RAM while the Note II is speculated to have 1.5-2 GB of RAM.

OS: The Note I was released with Android Gingerbread (v 2.3) while the Note II will most likely be released with Android JellyBean (v 4.1)

Samsung will want to announce and ship out the Note II by September, and many technology experts are expecting Samsung to try and steal the thunder from Apple as they unveil their new iPhone 5 in late August or September.
