Samsung, a pioneer in the field of foldable smartphones and a world leader in the production of foldable phones, will likely soon unveil new variants of these devices.

According to a recent rumor from Twitter user RGcloudS, the company may try to add more products to this range in two years, with as many as four new smartphones in the Galaxy Z series anticipated.

New Samsung foldable Lineup

The teaser post suggests that any of the aforementioned new devices would not be officially seen or heard of until at least 2025 because all of Samsung's plans are reserved for after 2024. The Galaxy Z Flex, which appears to offer a triple-folding display panel rather than the standard folding layout, is the first model in the new lineup.

Additionally, there is the Galaxy Z Tab, which is said to have a stretchable display panel and the potential to fold into a tablet that also functions as a smartphone. The other two new gadgets are "Ultra" versions of the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip smartphones, and it's possible that they will improve the resolution of the devices that already exist.

The tweet suggests that BOE may produce a folding display with a resolution of 4K for the Z Fold Ultra, while Samsung's own display fabrication division already has a webpage dedicated to flexible and folding OLED panels. The Z Flip Ultra, on the other hand, may have a resolution of 2K. The website lists slidable and rollable display form factors, which suggests that the company already has production-grade folding and flexing display options. However, the validity of the rumor and the company's production plans is currently unknown.

The tweet also suggests that the Galaxy K series will replace devices from the Galaxy A series and that the Galaxy S "Plus" variants will be replaced by the Galaxy S "Premium." It's not clear if the latter would just be a rebranding exercise or if the Ultra and mid-tier flagship models would be rearranged.
