This backup solution is a 750 GB Seagate hard disk with a 16 MB buffer and
spindle speed of 7,200 rpm. Connectivity is over USB 2.0 or FireWire. You need
to install the bundled BounceBack software (a .NET based software) on each
system you want to use this drive with. Simply pressing the button on the device
is enough to start the backup process.

There are two kinds of backups you can do. Use the push-button to backup the
entire hard drive on the system you connect it with or use the software. The
button invokes the software, which examines the files to backup, estimates the
time and sends it to the hard disk. The status of this entire operation is
available on the system's screen.
You can schedule backups when you use the software without the push-button.
This creates a scheduled task in your system to invoke BounceBack at
preconfigured schedules. To test the solution, we decided to test the device's
performance with its own software. We backed up 3 GB data on a desktop HDD,
using the push button. It took 1 hr 46 min.
Bottom Line: The drive has excellent performance and good software. We
give it a definite 'buy.'
