Shriram Life Insurance : Shrilife TAKE-Insight

A s a part of its IT initiative, Shriram life insurance was looking for a

comprehensive analytic product that would provide timely reports, analytical

capabilities, etc. They approached TAKE solutions which offered TAKE-Insight, an

analytics and dashboard product.



This solution was basically developed for the senior management of the company
who can assess the companies business performance through various charts by

comparing the data from various intervals and can take necessary action.

The difficulty that was faced during its implementation was that TAKE-Insight

uses OLAP cubes and the base transaction data did not had a maintained history

of status of the transactions. Hence issues were faced while the creation of the

cubes.

After the deployment of the project, MIS reports generation and consolidation

time reduced from 7-10 days to one day. Various business data are represented as

meaningful charts,graphs, gauges and other formats concurrently. Users are able

to perform root-cause analysis to reach the core of a specific business problem.

The project has also enabled monitoring of the performance of critical areas in

insurance business at all times regardless of location through the web. This

conversion of complex data into meaningful formats have contributed in taking

business decisions with a better efficacy.
