A common reason for tension and unease for couples trying to have a baby is not being aware of their fertile days. There are only a few days in every cycle when a female is fertile and has a high probability of getting pregnant.

However, 46 percent of the cycles differ more than 7 days and every 1 in 2 couples recognize their fertile days wrong thereby delay the beginning process.

Going to the lab for follicular ultrasound scans multiple times every cycle is very tiring and already available home products such as ovulation kits are undependable and do not work for the hormone levels of Indian women.

Acknowledging this, Inito has introduced a fertility monitor, a home diagnostic test that allows women to track their fertile days at home in a simple and convenient manner.

The fertility test is the first test supported by the Inito diagnostic device and has been introduced after a successful pilot of six months with 100 users.

Inito is backed by cutting-edge technology that permits smartphones to carry out lab-grade medical diagnostic tests at home using a single portable device.

The Inito diagnostic device comes with the Inito Reader, App and the Test strips. The fertility test works by identifying up to 6 fertile days of a woman’s cycle.

The test strips are dipped in urine and inserted into the device, the device is then attached to the phone and the Inito app displays the result.

Inito Fertility Test not only measures Estrogen & Luteinizing Hormone (LH) in urine but also understands cycle variations and gives highly accurate results unique to every individual woman’s cycle and thus increases the chance of her getting pregnant naturally by 89 percent.

The device has been medically tested and the results were found to be comparable to those acquired with clinic-grade instrumentation which cost 100 times more and is 10 times bigger.

Aayush Rai, Co-Founder, Inito commented, “With today's stressful and high-performance lifestyle, maintaining good health is becoming increasingly challenging. We can be healthier & happier apart from saving tremendous cost if we can monitor our body metrics regularly. Inito was born on this thought. We believe that over the next decade, labs will get into consumer homes and monitoring devices will be as common as mobile phones. We want to be an integral part of this revolution.”

Dr Lavanya Kiran, Gynaecologist at Narayana Group of Hospitals and a pioneer of robotic surgeries said, “Tracking ovulation in the comfort of your home relieves the stress of waiting in a busy OPD or scan centre. Moreover, having a record of your cycle trends helps the doctor do a better diagnosis in case a treatment is required.”

The device is priced at Rs 3,195 while a pack of eight fertility test strips costs Rs 895. Right now, the user can purchase it through Inito’s website or on Amazon. It will soon be accessible in pharmacies.
