Xiaomi has expanded the Redmi Note 15 series in India with the launch of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G and Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, pushing the lineup closer to the premium segment. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ and Note 15 Pro introduce a new 200MP camera system with up to 4x optical-level in-sensor zoom, making it the biggest imaging upgrade in the Redmi Note 15 series. According to Xiaomi, the new camera will enable up to 4x optical in-sensor zoom, which will enable people to take sharper shots and zoomed photos without significant quality deterioration.

Brighter display and tougher build

Both phones offer a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 3,200 nits peak brightness, making the Redmi Note 15 Pro display one of the brightest in its segment. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is used to protect the screens.

Durability wise, Xiaomi has also included IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K, which provide protection against dust and immersion in water as well as high-pressure jets of water. This is not typical of phones at this price example and makes the new Pro models more of a daily-use rugged product.

Xiaomi is also provided with the box with both models of the chargers, also contributing to the overall price of ownership, as opposed to the brands that sell adapters on the side.

Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G: Performance and AI features

In terms of performance, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ specifications include the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro specifications feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra. The processors are both smoother processors to multitask, game and capture images with full 5G connectivity.

The introduction of these two models has now expanded the price range of the Redmi Note 15 series to include affordable mid-range models and near-flagship models, which allow a wider variety of buyers to choose their phone depending on their budget, camera requirements and charging.

Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G Geekbench

The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G Geekbench listing confirms Android 15, 8GB RAM and upper mid-range performance scores. Geekbench model number 25080RABDI is the Indian version of Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, according to tipster Abhishek Yadav. It is listed with Android 15, 8GB RAM, and an octa-core processor at 2.6GHz, with a one-core score of 1,051 and a multi-core score of 2,938 - which is enough to be a solid upper mid-range performance that must be no trouble in daily use, multitasking, and gaming without trying to enter the fully flagship realm. In case of leaks, the Indian variant will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 with a Mali-G615 MC2 graphics and topped with HyperOS 2 on top of Android 15 to experience a new software platform.
