Yash Mishra, founder and CEO, VoxWeb said, “For a crypto-currency to be successfully operable on a social media platform, a high degree of innovation is required when it comes to designing its currency policy. With Vollar, we are addressing the critical issues of volatility and liquidity by pegging it against the top 20 fiat currencies in the world. Vollar’s currency policy that deals with the minting and distribution of new currency would simulate G-20 central banks to make sure that it is seen as one of the most genuine crypto-currencies in the world.”

“From VoxWeb’s perspective, launching Vollar is a good business proposition. Privacy is one of the areas that will soon define whether a user engages with your product or not. By launching Vollar, we plan to build e-commerce and fin-tech based revenue streams that will help us monetize the network without infringing on user privacy in future”, added Yash Mishra.

In a bid to get users to use VoxWeb more actively, the company has promised to reward its first set of early adopters with Vollar coins, based on their activity levels and usage of the platform. Currently, VoxWeb has a user base of over 2 million users from 98 countries across the globe.

Vollar will be available even in those jurisdictions where either government or central banks have banned cryptocurrencies (India included). While Vollar will be the official currency of exchange for social commerce on VoxWeb, people will also be able to trade in it on crypto-exchanges and also use it as a store of value. In addition to this, multi-national companies and big retailers who have started accepting crypto-currency for payments can accept Vollar payments even in such restricted or highly regulated countries.
