There’s no change of guard in this category as compared to last year. MS Exchange is winner and Lotus Notes/Domino is runner up in both survey segments. Sify Mail is at number 3. It wasn’t there in the 100-499 club last year, but is there across both segments this year.

Interestingly, there are a lot of other, smaller brands also in this space, which are perhaps playing in small pockets across the country. If we were to take their combined score, then they would easily push Sify to the fourth spot in 100-499 segment and even take the runners-up spot in the 500+ segment.

Coming to brand loyalty, Sify enjoys the highest brand loyalty amongst its existing users, followed by Microsoft, with Lotus Notes/Domino’s brand loyalty trailing behind. 6% of those currently using MS Exchange in 100-499 segment said they were likely to shift to Lotus Notes/Domino, and another 1% said they were likely to shift to Sify Mail.

Even in the 500+ employees segment, 4% of those currently using MS Exchange said they were likely to shift to Lotus Notes/Domino.
81% of those currently using MS Exchange in 100-499 segment gave product reliability as their reason, followed by initial price. Product reliability was also their reason for future preference, but here the second reason for choosing MS Exchange changed from initial price to after sales service and support.
