The gaming director of the company, Jim Ryan, stated, "Everyone who wants a PS5 should have a much easier time finding one at retailers globally, starting from this point forward." Additionally, Sony stated that it has sold approximately 30 million consoles at this point, which is approximately 5 million more than when it last released sales figures.

In addition, Ryan spoke about demands in the supply chain and thanked PlayStation fans for their patience as Sony worked to "manage unprecedented demand amid global challenges over the past two years." The PlayStation 5 restock was frequently discussed in Indian media.

Price and availability of the PlayStation 5 in India

The PS5 Digital Edition on its own costs Rs 44,990, while the PS5 with 4K Blu-ray capabilities costs Rs 54,990. The cost of both consoles increased last year.
