Sony WF-1000XM5 Launched with Up to 36 Hours of Total Battery Life: Price and Specifications

The Sony WF-1000XM5 was released in India on Wednesday. The earbuds, which replace the Sony WF-1000XM4, were first released in July of this year. The 8.4 mm Dynamic Driver X true wireless stereo earbuds are driven by an integrated Sony Processor V2 and Sony's QN2e Active Noise Cancellation chip. They come in two colour options and a small design. They will be available in India soon, and pre-orders are being taken.

Sony WF-1000XM5 price and availability in India

The Sony WF-1000XM5 earphones are priced at Rs. 24,990 and will be available in India beginning on 18 October. Customers who pre-order the product before 15 October can get the Sony WF-1000XM5 earphones at a special discounted price of Rs. 21,990.

Sony WF-1000XM5 is available in two colours: black and silver. According to the business, it will be available online and offline via the official Sony Centre website, major electronic retailers, and critical e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart.

The Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds use an 8.4mm Dynamic Driver X. They are driven by the Sony Integrated Processor V2 and QN2e processors, the latter of which is supposed to improve the Noise Cancellation feature. The Sony WF-1000XM5 earphones support SBC, AAC, LDAC, and LC3 audio formats.

The Sony WF-1000XM5 earphones feature DSEE Extreme upscaling technology and an Ambient Sound Mode. Sony says the bone conduction sensors and deep neural network (DNN) programming in the WF-1000XM5 earbuds can improve call quality regardless of loud background noise or other interruptions.

The WF-1000XM5 from Sony supports Bluetooth 5.3, Google Fast Pair, multipoint connection, head-tracking, and 360 Reality Audio. The Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds have an IPX4 rating and may be synced with Sony's Headphones Connect app.

With ANC turned on, the Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds are said to have a maximum talk time of up to six hours and a music playback time of up to eight hours. Meanwhile, with the noise cancellation technology switched off, the Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds are supposed to provide up to seven hours of talk time and up to 12 hours of music listening. The case can provide up to 24 hours of additional battery life and supports wireless and rapid charging. Each Sony WF-1000XM5 earbud weighs 5.9 grams. The Sony WF-1000XM5 buds and case weigh 39 grams and have 64.6mm x 40.0mm x 26.5mm dimensions.
