Sony Xperia XZs with Motion Eye Camera Technology Launched at Rs. 49,990

Sony has announced the launch of Xperia XZs, its new flagship smartphone with Motion Eye camera technology. The smartphone comes with the best buy price of Rs. 49,990, while the MRP is Rs. 51,990. The new Sony smartphone will be available on Flipkart and offline retail stores from April 11.

The Xperia XZs is the successor of Xperia XZ which was launched last year, with World’s First 5 Axis Image Stabilisation and triple imaging sensor technology.

The new Xperia XZs comes with Motion Eye camera on top of the existing camera tech introduced with XZ series. It is packed with world’s first super slow motion video recording at 960 FPS with predictive capture.

The company claims that one can record videos 4X times slower than any other smartphone available in the market and that this level of frame rate recording in videos is available only in high-end DSLRs.

Design and specifications

The phone is carved out of an entirely new form of aluminum called ALKALEIDO which currently adorns the Xperia XZ and now the XZs.

Sony Xperia XZs has a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) Triluminos display. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB RAM, the device comes in 64GB of inbuilt storage options which is expandable further via microSD slot (up to 256GB). It has a single-SIM slot and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

The device comes equipped with a 13 MP front-facing camera, a 2,900 mAh battery with hybrid charging - Qnovo adaptive charging and Quick Charge 3.0. This waterproof device (IP65/68 rating) comes in three different color options: Warm Silver, Black, and Ice Blue.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C (USB 3.1) port. The sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.

The Xperia XZs is capable of playing back Hi-Res Audio and the supported file formats are LPCM, FLAC, ALAC, DSD. Using Hi-Res headphones, the users can play High-Resolution tracks.Sony Xperia XZs has been priced at INR 49,990 and booking starts from 4th of April.
