2019 is going to be very special for Samsung as the South Korean giant marks 10 successful years in its flagship Galaxy S line-up. While the launch of S10 is just a few days away, the company is also planning to revamp it’s A series in 2019. New rumours reveal that the Samsung will launch three new phones in the Galaxy A series viz. Samsung Galaxy A10, Samsung Galaxy A30 and Samsung Galaxy A50.
The biggest change in the forthcoming Galaxy A-series line-up is the Samsung’s decision to revert back to plastic body smartphones. And while the competitors have already moved to glass back designs, Samsung has to make the phone really appealing so as to make it stand different from the crowd. And depending on how the company implements the plastic body designs till we have seen it in actual, we believe the competitors are going to be a step ahead with their more “premium” designs.
According to the media reports, the Galaxy A10 will have a glossy plastic design, 6.2-inch HD+ Infinity V display, Exynos 7884B chipset, 3GB/32GB storage configuration, micro-USB charging port, 4,000 mAh battery, 13MP f/1.9 rear camera and a 5MP fixed focus front camera.
The Galaxy A30 will have a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity V display with 1080 x 2340p resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The device will be powered by Exynos 7904 processor and will come in two variants 3GB+32GB and 4GB+ 64GB. On the photography front, it will sport a 16MP f/1.9 rear camera plus 5MP, f/2.2, ultrawide sensor and 16MP, f/1.9, fixed focus front camera. The Galaxy A30 will pack 4,000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging.
The Galaxy A50 is expected to come with a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display having 1080 x 2340p resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will be powered by Exynos 9610 processor, and will come in two versions -- 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. For photographers, it will have a 25MP, f/1.7 + 5MP, f/2.2, fixed focus for depth sensing plus 8MP, f/2.4, ultrawide, fixed focus rear camera setup and a 25MP, f/2.0, fixed focus front camera.
According to the specs, the Samsung Galaxy A10 looks like the cheapest of the lot and the Galaxy A50 will be expensive one.
While the newly launched Galaxy M-series is online focused, the company could take the offline route for the upcoming Galaxy-A series.
