The Problem: Given the vast size and presence of SBI in 32 countries, the bank has a very complex organizational structure comprising of 14 circles for retail and specialized businesses. The business data of the Bank spreads over several domestic and international source systems like Core Banking, Trade Finance, Treasury, ATMs, Internet Banking, etc. Each of these systems has huge number of customer accounts and very high transaction volumes. Now the bank had a challenge to integrate the data from diverse sources into timely and reliable actionable information.
