17000+ branches of SBI & associated banks with 6 million customers, Internet

Banking in SBI was conceptualized for retail as well as corporate customers.

Www.onlinesbi. com is the Internet Banking portal of SBI which comprises of

several Internet Banking products. 'e-TDR' allows you to open a new term deposit

account along with generating the receipt online. SBI also came up with a

dedicated portal for visually challenged customers with all the Internet Banking

facilites. They also launched e-Governance Projects: Online payment by MP Govt,

which is capable of making lakhs of online payments. The benefits are that

employees, contractors, suppliers and the beneficiaries of various socio

economic schemes like NREGS would be getting their salaries/ payments ontime. It

also provides a consolidated view for all accounts on a single screen, like

Saving, OD, Deposits & current, etc along with net balance. Also retail

customers can view Online TDS and do enquiries for the same. A dedicated

customer care unit is capable enough to educate & resolve issues raised by the

customers. A rich set of features with audio-visual presentations on the home

page and with post login pages have also been included to educate customers.
